Junie resided @ Foresthill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bel Air MD since May 2013 when he experienced an hemorrhagic stroke that left him with limited use of his body. Of course that never stopped Junie from being Junie.

Junie was raised as a military brat with the opportunity to travel the world. He was born in Riverside CA, spent some time in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Virginia, Georgia, and Maryland. He attended elementary school in Aberdeen VA, Churchville MD, and Hampton VA. Middle and high school were attended in Hampton VA at C. Vernon Spratley Middle School and Kecoughtan High School. His grades show he attended and some subjects were a little more interesting than others as shown by his grades.

Junie was always about having his own and handling his business. He worked with his dad recycling cans and paper, with his brother Clayton on a paper route, bagged groceries at Langley, and then before graduating from high school a civil service job at Langley’s dining hall. After graduating from Kecoughtan, Junie begin working at the Newport News Shipbuilding facility for 16 years receiving numerous awards for welding and dedication to his job. His responsibilities at the Newport News Shipbuilding include structure welding, pipe fitting and fabrication fitter, machinist, inventory warehousing, and sheet metal work inspector.

Junie enlisted in the United States Army Reserve for 16 years and obtained the rank of E5 Sargent performing duties of Metal Specialist, Transportation Specialist, and Documentation Specialist. He served on active duty in support of OPERATION DESERT FAREWELL AND REFORGER 91 in the Netherlands receiving an award for “Outstanding Meritorious Achievement during reception of equipment and personnel returning from Southwest Asia in support of Operations Desert Farewell. In July 1994 Junie and Brenda were married and of this union a beautiful family was born with William Eley and Jasmine Nicole Holly. There were a couple of dogs added to the family as well. The family enjoyed hosting Christmas, barbecues and other family functions. He added a two goal basketball court to the backyard that Junie raved about. Junie was a member of the Mass Production Motorcycle Club of Smithfield VA and the Hampton VAN club sporting his RED Boogie Van and Green Plymouth Charger with JOHNNY (in glitter) on the side. In 1996 Junie moved to Atlanta GA and in 1997 he moved to Churchville MD. While in Churchville Junie helped his mom during her illness and ensured all Asbury Functions were set-up and cleaned-up afterwards. Junie and Brenda devoiced in 2002 and Jasmine continued to visit her dad in MD during summer vacations. Jasmine often recalls her dad taking her to Asbury Church to meet Grandma and making her wear shoes in the country (ugh!).

In addition to Jasmine Holly (his baby girl) and Javion Holly (grandson), Junie leaves to cherish and retain his strong love for family and friendship to Brenda Holly, William Eley and four siblings: Juanita Holly-Ellis (Sheldon), Gloria Smith (Will), Clayton Holly Sr (Jackie), and Sandra Holly Starr (Greg).
