Vernell Bersell Carter Pounds was born July 28, 1963 to Bernard Ridgley & the late Betty J. Simmons.

“Priscilla” as she was affectionately called, attended grade school in Havre De Grace, MD and graduated from Havre De Grace Senior High School in 1981.

Priscilla worked for the Havre De Grace Police Department for 12 years.

Priscilla & Jeffrey Pounds were married in 1997. They later moved to Delaware where she acquired her med tech license and was a CNA. Priscilla worked with the mentally disabled and retired from Coatesville Veteran Hospital.

Priscilla was raised in Gospel Tabernacle 1st Apostolic Faith Church under the leadership of Bishop Harry T. Lee, Sr. where she was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. Priscilla loved singing. She used to sing on the Deliverance Choir & on the Combined Choir. Her favorite scripture was Hebrews 11:1- “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.”

Priscilla was also a member of Faith, Hope, and Love Christian Fellowship Church while she was living in Delaware where the pastor was Bishop Ralph Harmon.

Priscilla loved to read and watching movies. She was funny and fun to be around. Her smile would light up the room. So many people called her mom. She was a good listener & loved talking to people.
